Matúš Holubkovič specialises in public procurement and concessions. In the area of public procurement he primarily focuses on complex ICT projects, contracts for construction works, specific technology projects for sectoral contracting authorities, and on representing clients before the Office for the Protection of Competition and administrative courts. During his previous engagement at the Office for the Protection of Competition in the position of the head of department he developed unique expertise and know-how, mainly related to procurement controls, protection of contractors, methodological guidance on specific issues, as well as legislative endeavours in this field.

In the field of public procurement and concessions he also specialises in public procurement in the European area, particularly in Slovakia. Within his practice he also focuses on legal advice in the area of provision of transport services under the Public Passenger Transport Services Act and the European Public Passenger Transport Regulation.

Matúš regularly lectures and publishes in the field of public procurement.
