Ondřej Majer specialises in commercial and contractual law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, litigation and bankruptcy law. Ondřej has extensive experience in the automotive, energy, real estate and construction sectors, both in Czech Republic and in Slovakia.

In mergers and acquisitions, he has represented a number of clients, on the side of both sellers and buyers, in Czech Republic and in Slovakia.

In real estate, Ondřej has advised many clients on the preparation, financing and implementation of real estate projects, as well as in acquisitions of properties and real estate projects, including hotel projects.

In litigation and insolvency, Ondřej has represented clients in a number of comprehensive litigation matters, including cross-border disputes, cross-border insolvencies, disputes with an international element, and corporate law disputes.

Prior to joining our law firm, Ondřej worked for almost fifteen years in a major Czech law firm with offices in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe, and was involved in managing its Slovak office and then its Czech office.

  • advising several global car importers on contractual, distribution and competition law in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, including representation before the competition authorities
  • representing a group of private investors on acquisitions and subsequent divestitures of numerous real estate projects in the Czech Republic
  • advising several foreign investors on the preparation and implementation of development projects in the Czech Republic
  • advising an operator of airports in connection with insolvency proceedings in Slovakia, including EU insolvency law aspects, and the realisation of collateral abroad
  • advising an investment group on the reorganisation of a major residential and business real estate project in Slovakia
  • advising a French insolvency trustee on ancillary bankruptcy proceedings of a company operating in the automotive industry in Slovakia
