Martin Šimek specialises in representing clients in litigation and arbitration. He also focuses on insolvency and restructuring, and on negotiating business contractual relations.

In litigation, he represents companies and entrepreneurs (both as claimants and as defendants) in comprehensive disputes and judicial and arbitration proceedings in the Czech Republic and abroad, including in proceedings with an international element. In connection with commercial dispute resolution, Martin also advises on alternative and amicable forms of settlement.

In restructuring and insolvency, he focuses on comprehensive advice on issues related to insolvency, client representation in insolvency proceedings, and in incidental disputes.

In commercial contractual relations, he has extensive experience, mainly in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts in transport, engineering and construction.

Before joining our law firm, he worked for more than six years in major Czech law firms. Additionally, he spent time in a leading international law firm in Rotterdam. In his legal practice, Martin focused on mergers and acquisitions, legal audits and due diligence, representing clients both as sellers and buyers.
